Once I got sort of quite good then it was 'sit down, take a deep breath and attempt to copy the Beatles', which is very difficult, although I have to say I've mastered it to a tee. (Noel Gallagher)

- The Rain was formed by school friends Chris Hutton (vocals), Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs (guitar), Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan (bass), and Tony McCaroll (drums). When Hutton left the band, he was replaced by Guigsy's friend Liam Gallagher, who changed the band's name to Oasis.
