- The Rain was formed by school friends Chris Hutton (vocals), Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs (guitar), Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan (bass), and Tony McCaroll (drums). When Hutton left the band, he was replaced by Guigsy's friend Liam Gallagher, who changed the band's name to Oasis.
