Led Zeppelin random trivia

Supposedly was named by The Who drummer Keith Moon after Jimmy Page informed him he was going to form a new version of The Yardbirds. Moon reportedly responded that if Page was going to attempt it that it would "go over like a lead balloon". Broke up after the death of drummer John Bonham in October 1980. Led Zeppelin's music: "Misty Mountain Hop" is named after Tolkien's Misty Mountains; "Ramble On" refers to Gollum and Mordor and "The Battle of Evermore" is an actual allegory from the "Battle of the Pelennor Fields" from The Return of the King
