- Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.
- The original Led Zeppelin lineup consisted of Page, vocalist Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, drummmer John Bonham, and former Yardbirds bassist Chris Dreja, but Dreja left very early in the bands exsistence to become a photographer. He was replaced by Page's long time friend John Paul Jones.
- Led Zeppelin's music: "Misty Mountain Hop" is named after Tolkien's Misty Mountains; "Ramble On" refers to Gollum and Mordor and "The Battle of Evermore" is an actual allegory from the "Battle of the Pelennor Fields" from The Return of the King
