- The band needed to think of a name hours before their first show. After a few failed choices, Mike looked in a thesaurus and chose "Incubus" almost at random.
- In April 2002, the band hit the road for Honda's Civic Tour with Hoobastank. Incubus was allowed to design a Civic given away in a drawing.
- Former members of the band include DJ Lyfe (turntables) and Alex Katunich (a.k.a. Dirk Lance) (bass).
