A native Texan, her first professional job was acting as Faye Dunaway's stand- in during the location filming of "Bonnie and Clyde" (1967) She was later considered for the Cybill Shepherd role in "The Last Picture Show" (1971), competing alongside Sissy Spacek. Her mother taught English at Richardson High School in Richardson, Texas Her first name is taken from the the title character of the David Warner movie, Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment (1966).
